About Asia Adult Guide
Asia Adult Guide is an independent reference site about adult-travel laws, safety, scams and health resources across 11 Asian countries. It is written for adult travellers (18+) who want factual information rather than promotion, nostalgia, or moral panic.
What this site does not do
- It does not list venues, agencies, individual workers, prices, or directions.
- It does not rank, review, or recommend establishments.
- It does not encourage breaking the law in any jurisdiction.
- It does not provide legal, medical, immigration or travel advice.
What this site does do
- Explain the actual statute(s) covering sex work in each country, the year of enactment, and recent amendments.
- Describe how enforcement looks in practice — distinct from how it reads on paper.
- Document the most common scams reported by travellers in each city, with reference to embassy travel advisories.
- Point to harm-reduction resources: STI testing, sex-worker-led NGOs, embassy contacts, mental-health hotlines.
Sources and updates
Each page draws on primary statutes (linked where freely available), published travel advisories from the US State Department, UK FCDO, Australian DFAT, Canadian GAC, and major civil-society reports (UNAIDS, WHO, NSWP, Empower Foundation, SWING, SWASH). Where enforcement reality diverges from statute, this is stated and dated.
Pages are reviewed quarterly. Anything time-sensitive — embassy phone numbers, current visa-stamping practice, current crackdown waves — should be cross-checked against a primary source before relying on it.
